Xuerong YONG,   Associate Professor  

 


Dr. Yong received his Ph.D in computer science from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in July 2002, and then worked as a postdoctoral researcher at DIMACS (NSF center at Rutgers University) until August 2004. During the 2004-05 academic year he served as a lecturer for the Department of Computer Science and the Department of Mathematics of Rutgers University. In August 2005 he joined with the Department of Mathematical Sciences, University of Puerto Rico at Mayaguez. He has also been a visiting researcher at DIMACS. Earlier in 1991 he received his doctorate in mathematics from Xi'an Jiaotong University.

Teaching in Fall 08:

      He teaches mathematics courses (MATH) and computer science courses (COMP).
